Is AirTag thin enough for wallet?
The Airtag is not slim enough to really fit in the wallet. There's nothing that a manufacturer can do to fix that.

Apple has not specified the exact Bluetooth range of an AirTag, but it's believed that each AirTag supports Bluetooth 5.0 (same as the latest iPhones), which means it should be trackable within 800 feet.

RFID blocking wallets will not prevent your AirTag from working. There are a few reasons for this: AirTags use two types of technology: Bluetooth and ultra-wideband (UWB). RFID blockers are not designed to stop UWB signals, so AirTags can still access networks using UWB.
How thin is Apple AirTag?
The standard AirTag from Apple is 8 mm thick, which makes it unsuitable for slotting in to a wallet or anywhere else that would benefit from a low-profile AirTag.
