While SLT is definitely tough, we think Solidcore is even more intense and core-focused (hence the name). Think: blood-vessel-popping type of burn! Solidcore has a more Soul Cycle-esque style, with motivational instructors, dim lights and loud beats.
Is [solidcore] worth it? Absolutely. I rarely say this about classes that cost this much, but I'm 100% sold on [solidcore] and its benefits. The level of instruction was excellent and I truly felt like all 50 minutes of the class were spent well.
We recommend coming 3-4 times a week to get the best results. Our muscles and bodies cannot change without rest and time to rebuild, which is why we HIGHLY recommend taking two days off a week. This will allow your body to rebuild so you can see extraordinary changes to your body feeling stronger than ever.

It was the first studio in D.C. to offer the Lagree Fitness Method on Sebastien Lagree's patented Megaformer machines; as of this year, however, Solidcore has completely separated themselves from Lagree Fitness, has created their own patented machines and has a patent out for the Solidcore workout through American ...
This workout is unlike anything you have ever done before and we speak from first-hand experience when we tell you that the results are amazing. Not only do you burn an average of 600 calories per class, but for the next 24-36 hours after class, your metabolism is increased so your body can repair the muscles.
first you fill out an application that is pretty straight forward. After that if you get picked you go through an audition. the audition consists of a class, a group discussion and then a mic session. mic session you go on the mic and perform or teach something, doesnt have to be solidcore related.
Is Solidcore better than club Pilates?
Solidcore is loud and upbeat, with quick transitions and a goal of burning out your muscle groups. But Club Pilates is calm and controlled – it almost reminds of a yoga in that way. If you get bored easily or need someone to yell at you in a workout, maybe this isn't for you.
YOU'LL WORK EVERY MUSCLE
Pilates reformer classes are full-body workouts, so don't be surprised if the class is harder than you initially thought it would be. Chances are you'll be working many muscles you don't use very often. And your core will take a beating.

It's a tough, effective workout because the Megaformer uses springs to create resistance. Exercises are performed using slow, controlled movements to fire up slow-twitch fat-burning muscle fibers. The slower you go, the better!
Solidcore Estimated Costs:
The single class drop-in rate is $35 per class. 4-Classes for $120 per month. 8-Classes for $216 per month. Unlimited classes for $299 per month.
While core exercises are not the most effective way to burn subcutaneous and visceral fat off your belly, they are the answer to toning the muscles underneath. Spot-reducing fat from your body is not realistic, but spot-toning your muscles most certainly is.
Credits vary based on the studio, time, location, and more. In the DC/Arlington area, classes are typically 7-8 credits with some high-end studios like [solidcore] or Barry's Bootcamp commanding prices of 10 credits or more.
There are no showers for after-class, but there are amenities to help you freshen up if you plan to go somewhere after – though with a name like [solidcore], I knew I was headed to my couch once finishing up. You will not need socks or shoes to complete this class. It is done barefoot. The studio provided towels.
Our all-levels and off-peak classes have the exact same content, however the off-peak has a lower price point. Our mock classes are led by our coaches-in-training who are in their last stages of training - these classes are steeply discounted at $10 per class.
[solidcore] clients and members are eligible to pause or freeze packages and memberships, subject to local fees, by contacting your local studio or [solidcore]'s client experience team at solidcore@solidcore.co.
SLT classes are tough. Perhaps the best advice I can give you is that you should go to your first class with an open mind, prepared to work hard, and ready to give yourself a lot of grace. Even if you're a seasoned Pilates pro, your muscles will be quaking and your heart will be pounding in your first SLT class.
Is Solidcore good for beginners?
Basically Solidcore is NOT a beginner class, you should be able to hold a plank for 60 seconds before attempting it, and it is meant to push you to your mental and physical limits.
